## The Atom, drawn module by module

Choose a view, then select a module in the legend or in the drawing itself to zoom to it and read its specifications. The Power path view walks eight steps from power generation to the rack, and the Plan view shows one Atom or four. On a phone, pinch or use the buttons to look closer and drag or slide to move.

Optional modules

Traced from IntelliFlex drawings G-201 plan, G-202 and G-203 elevations (Rev A) and the four-Atom general arrangement (Rev A). The power yard is drawn in power path order (generation, switchgear, MV-BESS) with enclosure lengths from the yard arrangement and heights to typical proportions; power generation is shown generically; power and cooling routes are diagrammatic. Not to scale. Select a module to see it in the drawing and read its specifications.

## Module specifications

The published figures for the five standard modules and the two optional modules, as the drawings show them. Each project confirms its power budget and operating conditions in its design basis.

01Standard module

### Compute

Two IT halls, four IT modules

8.8 MWIT load of a 13.2 MW Atom

Two IT halls, each built from two factory-made IT modules, hold 80 rack positions in four rows of 20. Each hall draws from its own six busways and its own chiller plant, so the halls run as two independent halves of the Atom. Racks are direct-to-chip liquid-cooled, and CRAH units along the rows take the heat that does not leave in the liquid and condition the hall air.

### Cooling

Two chiller plants, twelve chiller trains

8.8 MWcooling capacity per Atom

Four chiller buildings, two at each end of the Atom, form two chiller plants, one per IT hall. Each plant runs six chiller trains, each a roof-mounted dry cooler, a chiller and a facility pump assembly, and five of the six carry the load. Chilled water leaves each plant on 2N supply headers to one cooling system in each IT hall: distributed pumping assemblies feeding direct-to-chip liquid cooling at the racks, and CRAH rows that take the heat that does not leave in the liquid and condition the hall air.

### Megabox

Six unit substations

18 MWsix 3 MW units, 12.47 kV to 415 V

Six unit substations beside the IT halls, one Megabox on each of the six 3 MW feeders. Each takes 12.47 kV from its MV BESS+ unit, steps it down to 415 V through a dry-type cast resin transformer, and feeds two 2,100 A overhead busways, one to each IT hall and its chiller plant.

### Switchgear

Medium-voltage distribution

Up to 38 kVmain incoming and six 3 MW feeders

A standalone building in the power yard with the main incoming section and six 3 MW feeder sections, one for each Megabox. It accepts up to three power sources, with an optional transfer switch and optional SCADA. The number of incoming feeds and the switchgear design are set for each site.

06Optional module

### MV BESS+

Medium-voltage battery UPS

6 × 3 MWfive carry the load, one redundant

Medium-voltage battery energy storage. In the reference design, which follows Uptime Institute Tier III topology criteria, each of the six Megaboxes has a 3 MW MV BESS+ unit ahead of it. Five carry the 13.2 MW Atom and the sixth is redundant (N+1). Each unit conditions voltage against sags, swells and transients as well as riding through outages.

### Standby generation

Extended backup power

18 MWsix 3 MW units at 415 V

Diesel generation for extended outages, sized to carry the 13.2 MW Atom: six 3 MW units at 415 V in Level 3 sound enclosures, with UL142 dual-wall fuel tanks and 24 hour run time. Fuel strategy is set with the local authority during site planning.
