## What the model controls

The work center separates public, institutional, sponsored, restricted, and controlled work. Routing follows those constraints and fails closed where authorization or evidence is missing.

- Named requestor and research purpose
- Data and export-control classification
- Approved model, tool, and destination boundaries
- Human approval for publication, finance, legal, and external action
- Artifact, lineage, review, and retention record

## Status and limits

This page documents the operating model and evaluation criteria. Institution-specific integrations, certifications, policies, and production authorization must be verified in the responsible university environment.

## Illustrative work order: a cited research brief

An investigator requests a literature brief for a proposal. The work order records the research question, permitted sources, data classification, expected form of the deliverable, and review responsibilities. The execution record identifies the approved tools and model configuration. The returned brief includes source passages and unresolved questions, allowing the investigator to assess the evidence before deciding what can enter the proposal.

- Research request and acceptance criteria
- Approved source set and data-use boundaries
- Draft, citations, execution record, and named reviewer

## Evaluate the workflow before wider use

Use representative public or institution-approved material to test source coverage, unsupported claims, citation fidelity, repeated reasoning, and adherence to the requested scope. Record corrections rather than relying on a single aggregate score. A successful demonstration does not authorize restricted data, publication, or an external action. Those decisions remain with the institution's responsible people and policies.

- Keep test fixtures separate from production research
- Measure the deliverable against the work order
- Retain approval, correction, and release decisions
