# Connect resource use to the work that produced it

A project budget is useful when the team can trace consumption back to a request, allocation or approved task. SAVRN Cloud’s preview connects local activity to illustrative usage receipts and sample Work Credits. These records explain the intended accounting flow. ## Read the unit before the number

The demonstration uses sample SAVRN Work Credits, or SWC, with a convention of 100 SWC per illustrative dollar. This is a fixture conversion, not a customer price, exchangeable balance or published commercial term. Sample request units and compute amounts are also synthetic. A future offer must define its actual measurement units and applicable price revision.

## Follow usage to its source

After a playground sample, Work Order or simulated compute activity, inspect the corresponding receipt in Usage. Use the available filters to understand which project and activity produced it, then export labeled demonstration records if useful. A receipt provides accounting context; it does not establish that a real model executed or that an external supplier reported the amount.

## Understand reservations as well as spending

The preview illustrates how active commitments can reduce an available allowance before final usage is recorded. That distinction matters when several tasks compete for the same project budget. In a connected service, reservation release, failed work, retries and late measurements all need defined treatment. An estimate, a held amount and a settled charge should remain distinguishable.

## Make reconciliation part of the service

Future accounting should be reproducible from the execution records and the terms that applied when work was authorized. Operators need a way to investigate missing, duplicate or corrected events. Project owners need understandable statements and an explanation of unresolved amounts. Technical job completion and deliverable acceptance are separate facts, and neither should silently rewrite the resource ledger.
