## Runs On

What it takes to serve MiniCPM-o-4_5 (9.4B parameters): the memory its weights need at each precision, and the cheapest way to rent enough data-center GPUs to hold them.

Memory is the weights at that precision plus 20% for the runtime and a short context; a long context needs more. Prices are the lowest on-demand hourly rates in the [SAVRN Index](https://savrn.com/ai-index/pricing/gpus), read Oct 25, 2026.

## SAVRN's Notes on MiniCPM-o-4_5

9.4B parameters, 20.0 GB of weights across eight files, 22.5 GB at 16-bit and 5.6 GB at 4-bit: an any-to-any model that sees, hears and speaks, servable on one MI300X at $1.85 an hour — or, per the card's own pitch, on a phone. The 40,960-token context is modest against text-only rivals, but full-duplex streaming across vision and speech is the point, not raw context.

Apache 2.0 permits commercial use with notices kept. The page lists an official AWQ build, MiniCPM-o-4_5-awq, quantized from this checkpoint, if you want a packaged 4-bit path rather than rolling your own. The 8-file layout reflects the multi-tower design — separate weights for vision and audio beside the language model — so serving it means orchestrating modules, not loading one blob. No third-party evaluations are on file; the Gemini-2.5-Flash-level claim is the publisher's.
