# Open-Weight Models

An open-weight model is an AI model whose trained weights are published for anyone to download. The weights are what the model learned in training. With a copy of them you can run the model on hardware you control and train it further on your own data.

Open weights are not the same as open source. Many publishers release the weights without the training data or code, and the license sets what you may do with the model. This library puts each model's full card, architecture, files, license and published evaluations on one page.

### [Qwen3.5-9B-JNS](https://savrn.com/models/qwen3-5-9b-jns)

[Prabanta Dev](https://savrn.com/model-publishers/prabanta-dev)

On a laptop running Debian 13 Linux, with an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H, its integrated Arc GPU and 32 GB of memory, Janas-LLM reads a prompt at 111 tok/s and writes at 14 tok/s, 24 tok/s with its own draft block in a chat: llama.cpp, on the same laptop, 78 and 8.7. Measured on 9-11 October 2026: llama-bench -p 1024 -n 16 and janas-bench --prompt 1024 --gen 16, both at their best configuration; the drafts with janas-bench on a chat reply, the mean of three rounds (a draft guesses the next tokens and the model checks them: the same text, faster). On other machines the figures will differ. Details: Janas README. - Debian 13 (trixie) Linux, x86-64, kernel 6.12.107 - its integrated Intel Arc GPU…

### [Qwen3.5-9B-RL-IF-MATH-LOGIC](https://savrn.com/models/qwen3-5-9b-rl-if-math-logic)

[Wangfei](https://savrn.com/model-publishers/wflying)

Qwen3.5-9B-RL-IF-MATH-LOGIC is a post-trained model built on Qwen3.5-9B. It was developed through supervised fine-tuning (SFT) on task-relevant non-thinking data, followed by two sequential stages of reinforcement learning with verifiable rewards (RLVR) using NGRPO: Negative-enhanced Group Relative Policy Optimization. The first RLVR stage focuses on mathematical reasoning with wflying/math-rlvr-15k. The second stage continues from that checkpoint on wflying/rl-if-math-logic-46k, a mixture of instruction following, mathematics, and logical/table reasoning. The released model is the output of the second RLVR stage. Under the reported non-thinking evaluation setup, the model achieves a mean…

In direct head-to-head empirical testing against unquantized Vanilla FP16 baseline weights under identical execution harnesses, DuoNeural's TAP-DPQ v6 achieves historic compression milestones: 1. Super-Parity on Q4KM (4.50 bpw): - Onsager cavity field corrections act as an optimal inductive regularizer, suppressing spurious low-order weight fluctuations and improving out-of-distribution reasoning. 2. Exact Ground-Truth Parity on IQ3XXS (3.06 bpw): 3. Sub-2-Bit Cognitive Retention (IQ2XXS & IQ1S): - IQ2XXS (2.06 bpw) and IQ1S (1.56 bpw) preserve active mathematical reasoning (6.0% raw score / 21.4% retention ratio) at compression levels where standard round-to-nearest quantization collapses…

A research LoRA adapter for Qwen/Qwen3.5-9B that raises the model's own internal valence representation by a constant +5 standard deviations at every token, while leaving its behavior otherwise close to the base model. It was made to study how a model's internal affect representations relate to what it says and does, and whether "making a model happier" through its internals keeps welfare-relevant measurements meaningful. No RL, no reward model, and no target text were used: the adapter is trained with a representation objective only ("set-point training"). At every token (prompt and response), the adapter pushes the projection of the residual stream entering layer 21 onto a fixed valence…

[Prabanta Dev](https://savrn.com/model-publishers/prabanta-dev)

On a laptop running Debian 13 Linux, with an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H, its integrated Arc GPU and 32 GB of memory, Janas-LLM reads a prompt at 104 tok/s and writes at 19 tok/s, 34 tok/s with its own draft block in a chat: llama.cpp, on the same laptop, 79 and 12.

Sentence and document embedding models used to build retrieval systems. Dimension and sequence length matter more than size here, and both come from the publisher.

### [Models that fit on one accelerator](https://savrn.com/collections/models-that-run-on-one-accelerator)

Models whose publisher-reported parameter count puts them within reach of a single accelerator at common precisions. Memory needed depends on precision and serving configuration, so treat the parameter count as the starting point, not the answer.

## Open-Weight Models Explained

### What is an open-weight model?

An AI model whose trained weights are published for anyone to download, so it can be run, tested and fine-tuned on hardware the user controls.

### Is an open-weight model the same as open source?

Not always. Open weights means the trained model can be downloaded. Open source usually also means the training code and data are available and the license allows broad reuse. Many open-weight models release the weights only.

### Can I use an open-weight model commercially?

It depends on the license. Apache 2.0 and MIT allow commercial use. Other licenses limit it, for example to non-commercial use or below a set number of users. Every model page here shows its license.

### How much memory does an open-weight model need?

About two bytes per parameter at 16-bit precision, so a 7-billion-parameter model needs roughly 14 GB for its weights, plus memory for the context it processes. Each model page lists its parameter count and the size of its files.
