# Open-Weight Models

An open-weight model is an AI model whose trained weights are published for anyone to download. The weights are what the model learned in training. With a copy of them you can run the model on hardware you control and train it further on your own data.

Open weights are not the same as open source. Many publishers release the weights without the training data or code, and the license sets what you may do with the model. This library puts each model's full card, architecture, files, license and published evaluations on one page.

15 Hz, 10,000 BC updates, freshly initialized from NVIDIA GR00T-N1.7-3B. Labels are future observed/executed TCP poses, not reconstructed robot command poses. No SVF, critic, LoRA, or prior Bigenlight BC initialization. gripper command. For a chunk observed at time t, native relative processing uses inv(T[t]) @ T[t+k+1], k=0..15: local-frame xyz and the first two rows of the relative rotation matrix, flattened row-major. All 16 EEF targets share T[t] as their reference; they are not consecutive-step deltas. Gripper target k retains the original absolute command at t+k, with 0=open and 1=closed. State: 16 dimensions = six measured arm joints in radians, measured gripper, and current observed…

This repository contains checkpoints and evaluation artifacts for GR00T fine-tuning. Each epoch folder is a separate model checkpoint; the repository root is an index. - Same 50 total LIBERO Spatial trajectories for every version (5,971 frames). - Vision encoder, language model, and the full action head/DiT are trainable. - Eight epochs maximum; 125 optimizer updates per epoch. - Every epoch checkpoint is uploaded and hash-verified before local weight eviction. - Every checkpoint is evaluated on all ten Spatial tasks, with 50 fixed initial states per task: 500 rollouts. - Success-rate plots use completed simulator evaluations, not training losses. Checkpoints and evaluations appear as the…

Fully local German grammar correction model for the ≤250 MB weight class (run anywhere, CPU real-time, no network). iterative apply-and-retag decoding, on a microsoft/mdeberta-v3-base encoder. byte-fallback), pruned by weight-truth-verified remap — int8 ONNX gate, 48.5% yield) from typed corruption packs (articles, verb agreement, V2, separable verbs, case government); two-stage differential-LR schedule, byte-identical with HF) + ONNX Runtime; inference is milliseconds per sentence on a laptop CPU. German has no public GEC benchmark we can license for automated scoring, so we report a held-out judge study instead: This is a deliberately conservative corrector: it almost never invents…

The model was quantized from granite-4.0-h-small using LLM Compressor with the GPTQ algorithm. This reduces the model weights from 60.0 GiB to 16.1 GiB on disk (~73% reduction). granite-4.0-h-small is a hybrid Mamba-MoE model: of its 40 layers, 4 are full-attention blocks and the other 36 are Mamba (linear-attention) blocks, and every layer carries a 72-expert MoE block (top-10 routing) alongside a shared MLP. ### [Models that fit on one accelerator](https://savrn.com/collections/models-that-run-on-one-accelerator)

Models whose publisher-reported parameter count puts them within reach of a single accelerator at common precisions. Memory needed depends on precision and serving configuration, so treat the parameter count as the starting point, not the answer.

### [Open-weight text models worth knowing](https://savrn.com/collections/open-weight-text-models-worth-knowing)

Widely used open-weight language models, chosen because each one is a distinct family rather than a variant of the one above it. Selection, not a ranking.

## Open-Weight Models Explained

### What is an open-weight model?

An AI model whose trained weights are published for anyone to download, so it can be run, tested and fine-tuned on hardware the user controls.

### Is an open-weight model the same as open source?

Not always. Open weights means the trained model can be downloaded. Open source usually also means the training code and data are available and the license allows broad reuse. Many open-weight models release the weights only.

### Can I use an open-weight model commercially?

It depends on the license. Apache 2.0 and MIT allow commercial use. Other licenses limit it, for example to non-commercial use or below a set number of users. Every model page here shows its license.

### How much memory does an open-weight model need?

About two bytes per parameter at 16-bit precision, so a 7-billion-parameter model needs roughly 14 GB for its weights, plus memory for the context it processes. Each model page lists its parameter count and the size of its files.
