SAVRN's Take

Seven entries sit under image to image, and five come from Black Forest Labs. Most of the list is one model, packaged several ways: FLUX.2-klein-4B and FLUX.2-klein-base-4B at 3.9B parameters, FP8 builds of both, a 62M-parameter small decoder that drops in for the standard FLUX.2 decoder, and a GGUF conversion of klein-4B from Unsloth AI. The job is generating an image from text and editing an existing one against multiple reference images, with inference finishing in under a second. ScottzillaSystems adds a LoRA adapter for the Qwen-Image-Edit-2511 pipeline, aimed at NSFW output. Downloads run klein-4B at 537,638 a month, the base variant at 295,475 and the Unsloth GGUF at 285,721.

None of this needs a large box. Our estimate puts klein-4B at 9.3 GB at 16-bit, 4.7 GB at 8-bit and 2.3 GB at 4-bit, and the publisher's figure for a working setup is 13 GB of VRAM. The small decoder needs 0.1 GB and trims decode-time memory by about 1.4 times, which is how one card reaches higher resolutions. Every sized entry lists a single MI300X at $1.85 an hour as the cheapest host, so the planning question is jobs per card, not which accelerator.

Six of seven carry Apache 2.0, so one license review covers nearly the whole list; the openrail++ LoRA and its subject matter get their own. Pick the packaging your loader wants: diffusers for BF16, diffusion-single-file for FP8, ggml for GGUF. Only two are indexed, and the FP8, GGUF and LoRA rows carry no memory estimate, so size those yourself before committing a rack.

FLUX.2-klein-4B

Black Forest Labs

The FLUX.2 [klein] model family are our fastest image models to date. FLUX.2 [klein] unifies generation and editing in a single compact architecture, delivering state-of-the-art quality with end-to-end inference in as low as under a second. Built for applications that require real-time image generation without sacrificing quality, and runs on consumer hardware, with as little as 13GB VRAM. FLUX.2 [klein] 4B is a 4 billion parameter rectified flow transformer capable of generating images from text descriptions and supports multi-reference editing capabilities. Fully open under Apache 2.0. Our most accessible model runs on consumer GPUs like the RTX 3090/4070. Compact but capable: supports…

FLUX.2-small-decoder

Black Forest Labs

FLUX.2 Small Decoder is a distilled VAE decoder that serves as a drop-in replacement for the standard FLUX.2 decoder. It delivers faster decoding and lower VRAM usage with minimal to zero quality loss. The encoder remains unchanged. 1. ~1.4x faster decoding compared to the full decoder. 2. ~1.4x less VRAM at decode time, enabling higher resolutions without running out of memory. 3. ~28M decoder parameters (vs ~50M in the full decoder) thanks to narrower channel widths ([96, 192, 384, 384] vs [128, 256, 512, 512]). 4. Minimal quality loss — images are almost identical. 5. Available under the Apache 2.0 license. Compatible with all open FLUX.2 models: - This model is not intended or able to…
