SAVRN Institute · How it works

From workforce needs to a program people can deliver.

Start with the roles, people and systems. Develop the learning plan with the partners responsible for delivery, and agree the measures before the first cohort begins.

  1. 01

    Assess

Identify the roles, learners, equipment and local education capacity. Assess existing facilities and labs alongside any planned campus.

    OutputRequirements brief and open decisions

  2. 02

    Design

Map roles to courses, practical tasks and assessments. Define partner responsibilities, academic approval needs and resource assumptions.

    OutputProposed program and delivery plan

  3. 03

    Prepare

Confirm agreements, instructors, equipment, learner support, site access and the schedule. Responsible partners complete their readiness reviews.

    OutputAgreed scope, resources and responsibilities

  4. 04

    Deliver

Combine classroom learning, labs, simulation and supervised practice. Record the task, conditions, assessor and result for practical assessments.

    OutputLearning and assessment records

  5. 05

    Measure

Review completion, demonstrated skills and feedback. Track further study or employment outcomes where agreed, then improve the next cohort.

OutputResults against agreed measures and next actions

A concrete first step

Begin with a scoped program plan.

The initial engagement gives partners a basis for deciding which program to pursue, who will deliver it and what must be ready.

Timing and cost depend on pathways, existing facilities, equipment, instructor capacity and services included. These are established in the written scope.

Requirements brief
Target roles, learner starting points, equipment, location and operating needs.
Curriculum map
Relevant courses, practical tasks, prerequisites and assessment criteria.
Delivery outline
Learning locations, instructors, equipment, supervision and proposed schedule.
Responsibility plan
What SAVRN and each partner would deliver, resource assumptions and open decisions.
Measurement plan
How completion, demonstrated skills and agreed employment outcomes would be tracked.

Measurement approach

Publish results that can be understood.

Learning

Participation, completion and demonstrated competence under recorded assessment conditions.

Progression

Further study, placements and relevant job offers; wages and retention where partners agree to track them.

Accountability

Named commitments, reporting periods and cohort definitions. Report shortfalls and improvements alongside results.

These are proposed measures for a local program. Published curriculum and concept designs do not establish completed cohorts or employment results.

Bring a workforce need, an institution or a regional opportunity.

The curriculum is published. Local delivery and each partner's services are established through program scoping and agreements.
