An evaluation row appears only where at least two of these models report the same benchmark with the same stated configuration, metric, unit and setup. Different evaluators stay named in each cell. Values are shown as reported: no unit conversion, no ranking.
SAVRN's Notes on chronos-bolt-small
48M parameters, 0.1 GB at 16-bit, one 190.9 MB safetensors file: the bolt line is the small, fast Chronos — a T5 encoder-decoder that cuts a history into patches and forecasts zero-shot. The one 192 GB MI300X at $1.85 an hour we list as its cheapest setup is oversized by orders of magnitude; run it as a scheduled job sharing an accelerator, not one that owns hardware.
Apache 2.0 permits commercial use with notices kept and a patent grant attached. First published 2024-11-13, updated 2025-10-30; the card's headline integration is Amazon SageMaker JumpStart, added February 14, 2025 — the managed route if you would rather not operate the endpoint. At 5.8M downloads a month it trails only chronos-2's 6.4M among the forecasters here. Take bolt for latency, chronos-2 for capacity.
SAVRN's Notes on Kronos-small
Candlestick sequences are the entire job here. Kronos-small takes OHLCV data its own tokenizer has quantized into discrete tokens and forecasts what comes next, trained on more than 45 global exchanges. At 25M parameters the four weight files total under 99 MB, and the 16-bit run needs 0.1 GB of memory. The cheapest Index setup, one MI300X with 192 GB at $1.85 per hour, would barely register it. We would put it on a card already serving other work rather than give it one of its own.
MIT is about as short as a license gets: commercial use, modification and redistribution, as long as the notices ride along. Two checks before committing. The facts list no context length, so establish the K-line window from the paper, arXiv:2508.02739. And the weights were updated September 9, 2025, two months after the June 30 release, so confirm which revision you are pulling.
Questions
Which is larger, chronos-bolt-small or Kronos-small?
