Runs On

What it takes to serve FLUX.1-dev (11.9B parameters): the memory its weights need at each precision, and the cheapest way to rent enough data-center GPUs to hold them.

Memory is the weights at that precision plus 20% for the runtime and a short context; a long context needs more. Prices are the lowest on-demand hourly rates in the SAVRN Index, read Sep 18, 2026.

SAVRN's Notes on FLUX.1-dev

Budget 28.6 GB of accelerator memory at 16-bit and this 11.9B-parameter text-to-image model from Black Forest Labs fits on one card. Weights run 23.8 GB at 16-bit, 11.9 GB at 8-bit against 14.3 GB needed, and 6.0 GB at 4-bit against 7.1 GB. The cheapest host we price, one MI300X with 192 GB at $1.85 an hour on-demand, leaves most of the card empty, so the sizing question is images per hour, not fit. Storage is 57.9 GB across 29 files, safetensors only.

Read the license before anything else. It shows as other, with no summary, and access is gated, so the files come from the publisher on the publisher's terms, and we will not paraphrase terms we have not classified. There is no context length figure and no Index host prices it per token, which makes the $1.85 card our only cost anchor.
