Open-Weight Models

An open-weight model is an AI model whose trained weights are published for anyone to download. The weights are what the model learned in training. With a copy of them you can run the model on hardware you control and train it further on your own data.

Open weights are not the same as open source. Many publishers release the weights without the training data or code, and the license sets what you may do with the model. This library puts each model's full card, architecture, files, license and published evaluations on one page.

Kimi-K3-DSpark

RadixArk

A long-context DSpark speculator for Kimi K3. It supports context lengths of up to 1 million tokens. A DSpark speculator for the Kimi K3 target, enabling faster inference through speculative decoding. DSpark extends the DFlash parallel-draft backbone with a Markov logit-bias head and a per-position confidence head. This checkpoint was trained with SpecForge using hidden states from a live SGLang target engine. 64 query heads / 16 KV heads, and blocksize=7 acclen is SGLang's histogram-native request acceptance length, averaged within each question and then equally across questions. RULER V2 uses the 1M input configuration. Actual prompts span 1,000,432–1,047,925 tokens; partition acclen is…

pythia-160m

EleutherAI

The Pythia Scaling Suite is a collection of models developed to facilitate interpretability research (see paper). It contains two sets of eight models of sizes 70M, 160M, 410M, 1B, 1.4B, 2.8B, 6.9B, and 12B. For each size, there are two models: one trained on the Pile, and one trained on the Pile after the dataset has been globally deduplicated. All 8 model sizes are trained on the exact same data, in the exact same order. We also provide 154 intermediate checkpoints per model, hosted on Hugging Face as branches. The Pythia model suite was deliberately designed to promote scientific research on large language models, especially interpretability research. Despite not centering downstream…

Following the widespread community adoption of the Qwen3.5 and Qwen3.6 series, we are pleased to introduce Qwen3.8, the most capable generation in the Qwen open-model family to date. Built on the architectural foundation of Qwen3.5, Qwen3.8 delivers substantial gains across coding, professional work, research, and long-horizon agentic tasks. Qwen3.8-27B brings these advances to a compact, deployment-friendly dense model: a native vision-language model that understands images and videos, with flexible thinking control, designed to carry complex, multi-step tasks through to completion with greater reliability. To achieve optimal performance, we recommend the following settings: 1. Sampling…

The Fine-Tuned Vision Transformer (ViT) is a variant of the transformer encoder architecture, similar to BERT, that has been adapted for image classification tasks. This specific model, named "google/vit-base-patch16-224-in21k," is pre-trained on a substantial collection of images in a supervised manner, leveraging the ImageNet-21k dataset. The images in the pre-training dataset are resized to a resolution of 224x224 pixels, making it suitable for a wide range of image recognition tasks. During the training phase, meticulous attention was given to hyperparameter settings to ensure optimal model performance. The model was fine-tuned with a judiciously chosen batch size of 16. This choice not…

Ornith-1.0-9B-GGUF

Ornith

Aloha! Today, we are releasing Ornith-1.0, a self-improving family of open-source models for agentic coding. This model card documents Ornith-1.0-9B, the most lightweight member of the Ornith family, designed for efficient single-GPU deployment. Ornith-1.0-9B is a dense ~9B model (≈19 GB in bf16), so it serves comfortably on a single 80GB GPU. The recipes below stand up an OpenAI-compatible server; add --tensor-parallel-size / --tp if you want to shard across more GPUs. For a quick local test (or to script offline generation), load the model directly with Transformers. Make sure you have a recent release installed — see the Transformers installation guide; Ornith-1.0-9B requires…

Microsoft

This Hub repository contains a HuggingFace's transformers implementation of Florence-2 model from Microsoft. Florence-2 is an advanced vision foundation model that uses a prompt-based approach to handle a wide range of vision and vision-language tasks. It leverages our FLD-5B dataset, containing 5.4 billion annotations across 126 million images, to master multi-task learning. The model's sequence-to-sequence architecture enables it to excel in both zero-shot and fine-tuned settings, proving to be a competitive vision foundation model. SDXL consists of an ensemble of experts pipeline for latent diffusion: In a first step, the base model is used to generate (noisy) latents, which are then further processed with a refinement model (available here: https://huggingface.co/stabilityai/stable-diffusion-xl-refiner-1.0/) specialized for the final denoising steps. Note that the base model can be used as a standalone module. Alternatively, we can use a two-stage pipeline as follows: First, the base model is used to generate latents of the desired output size. Models that fit on one accelerator

Models whose publisher-reported parameter count puts them within reach of a single accelerator at common precisions. Memory needed depends on precision and serving configuration, so treat the parameter count as the starting point, not the answer.

Open-Weight Models Explained

What is an open-weight model?

An AI model whose trained weights are published for anyone to download, so it can be run, tested and fine-tuned on hardware the user controls.

Is an open-weight model the same as open source?

Not always. Open weights means the trained model can be downloaded. Open source usually also means the training code and data are available and the license allows broad reuse. Many open-weight models release the weights only.

Can I use an open-weight model commercially?

It depends on the license. Apache 2.0 and MIT allow commercial use. Other licenses limit it, for example to non-commercial use or below a set number of users. Every model page here shows its license.

How much memory does an open-weight model need?

About two bytes per parameter at 16-bit precision, so a 7-billion-parameter model needs roughly 14 GB for its weights, plus memory for the context it processes. Each model page lists its parameter count and the size of its files.
