Open-weight model

act_my_task

by Hedgehog hedgehog678/act_my_task

act_my_task is an open-weight model from Hedgehog. It has 52M parameters. At 16-bit it needs about 0.1 GB of GPU memory, which fits on 1x MI300X from $1.85 an hour, at the lowest prices in the SAVRN Index.

This repository provides a trained Action Chunking with Transformers (ACT) policy for the SO-101 robotic manipulation platform. The policy is trained entirely from human teleoperation demonstrations collected with the LeRobot framework.

Runs On

What it takes to serve act_my_task (52M parameters): the memory its weights need at each precision, and the cheapest way to rent enough data-center GPUs to hold them.

Model Card

This repository provides a trained Action Chunking with Transformers (ACT) policy for the SO-101 robotic manipulation platform. The policy is trained entirely from human teleoperation demonstrations collected with the LeRobot framework. Given visual observations and robot proprioceptive states, the policy predicts a sequence of future robot actions and executes the learned manipulation behavior autonomously. The goal of this project is to learn a manipulation policy directly from human demonstrations, without explicitly programming the robot trajectory. The trained policy learns the following behavior: Detect → Approach → Grasp → Transport → Place Specifically, the robot is trained to: 1.…

Questions About act_my_task

How much GPU memory does act_my_task need?

About 0.1 GB at 16-bit and 0 GB at 4-bit: the weights (52M parameters) plus a working margin. A long context needs more.

What is the cheapest GPU to run act_my_task on?

At 16-bit, 1x MI300X from $1.85 an hour; at 4-bit, 1x MI300X from $1.85 an hour, at the lowest on-demand prices the SAVRN Index lists.
