Open-Weight Models

An open-weight model is an AI model whose trained weights are published for anyone to download. The weights are what the model learned in training. With a copy of them you can run the model on hardware you control and train it further on your own data.

Open weights are not the same as open source. Many publishers release the weights without the training data or code, and the license sets what you may do with the model. This library puts each model's full card, architecture, files, license and published evaluations on one page.

Model checkpoints and PCA components for Evaluating the role of pretraining dataset size and diversity on single-cell foundation model performance, DenAdel et al., Nature Methods (2026). The full download is approximately 32.1 GB: 492 neural network checkpoints and 80 PCA component matrices. The neural checkpoints include 12 controls with 0% pretraining. The Geneformer, scVI and SSL models cover random sampling, cell-type reweighting and geometric sketching at 1, 10, 25, 50, 75 and 100 percent of the pretraining corpus. The collection also includes perturbation spike-in experiments. See model-index.csv for model folders and training settings. Use Python 3.10. The examples below were tested…

Research artifacts for the paper "Wiring Beats Blending: Structure-Aware Compensation for Transformer Downscaling" (arXiv:2608.02829, v3; v1–v2 carried the title "What Transfers Between Transformer Sizes — and What Doesn't"). The paper asks whether a pretrained large model can be converted into a smaller sibling instead of training the small size from scratch. These checkpoints are the endpoints of matched-budget recovery races: every arm gets the same target shape, data order, schedule, and token budget, and only the starting weights differ. The initializations compared: All files are plain PyTorch statedicts for GPTNeoXForCausalLM with the target size's stock Pythia config. They are…

This is the model card of a transformers model that has been pushed on the Hub. Users (both direct and downstream) should be made aware of the risks, biases and limitations of the model. Use the code below to get started with the model. Carbon emissions can be estimated using the Machine Learning Impact calculator presented in Lacoste et al. (2019).

ACCV 2026 · Gyeonggwan Lee, Eunsoo Im, Seunghwan Hong, Junghun Suh (Kakao Mobility Corp., Korea University) Pretrained SCCM weights for the main results of the paper (Tab. 1 and the SCCM row of Tab. 2). SCCM makes the coarse stage of a dense matcher sphere-aware for 360° equirectangular (ERP) images, and is instantiated in the RoMa V1 framework. Each file is a torch.save dict holding the model weights under the model key (optimizer state removed). mp3d/sccm.pth is trained on Matterport3D (indoor) and is also the model evaluated zero-shot on Stanford2D3D (indoor, Tab. 1b). holo360d/sccm.pth starts from it and is trained on Holo360D (outdoor, in-the-wild). SCM ("Sovereign Classification Model", repository rev) makes typed, non-generative decisions in one forward pass: choice (pick one of K), noul (yes/no) and score (ordinal level) questions about a state. This repo holds a LoRA adapter only (adaptermodel.safetensors) for Qwen/Qwen3-14B-Base at revision 0b0bd3732e2c374d483664439ea334928b65f304. It is an experimental research release, not a production model. All options of one question are shown in one prompt as lettered lines; the model's score for an option is the next-token logit of its letter. Several option orders are scored and their per-order log-softmax over the letters is averaged, then renormalised to a probability vector. The exact…

Models that fit on one accelerator

Models whose publisher-reported parameter count puts them within reach of a single accelerator at common precisions. Memory needed depends on precision and serving configuration, so treat the parameter count as the starting point, not the answer.

Open-Weight Models Explained

What is an open-weight model?

An AI model whose trained weights are published for anyone to download, so it can be run, tested and fine-tuned on hardware the user controls.

Is an open-weight model the same as open source?

Not always. Open weights means the trained model can be downloaded. Open source usually also means the training code and data are available and the license allows broad reuse. Many open-weight models release the weights only.

Can I use an open-weight model commercially?

It depends on the license. Apache 2.0 and MIT allow commercial use. Other licenses limit it, for example to non-commercial use or below a set number of users. Every model page here shows its license.

How much memory does an open-weight model need?

About two bytes per parameter at 16-bit precision, so a 7-billion-parameter model needs roughly 14 GB for its weights, plus memory for the context it processes. Each model page lists its parameter count and the size of its files.
