This repository contains the optional Apple Silicon encoder for Qwen3-ASR 0.6B (Q80) in Glimpse. It is a companion to Handy's Q80 GGUF, not a replacement for it: the GGUF still provides the decoder, tokenizer and model metadata, and this package moves the audio encoder onto Core ML. On Windows, Intel Macs, or anywhere without Core ML, use the GGUF on its own. The Core ML package requires Apple Silicon. The model originates from Qwen3-ASR 0.6B, licensed Apache 2.0. The encoder was converted from Handy's Qwen3-ASR-0.6B-Q80.gguf with transcribe.cpp's scripts/convert-qwen3-asr-gguf-to-coreml.py, then zipped with ditto -c -k --keepParent. Qwen3-ASR 0.6B: Core ML encoder

This repository contains the optional Apple Silicon encoder for Qwen3-ASR 0.6B (Q8_0) in Glimpse. It is a companion to Handy's Q8_0 GGUF, not a replacement for it: the GGUF still provides the decoder, tokenizer and model metadata, and this package moves the audio encoder onto Core ML.

On Windows, Intel Macs, or anywhere without Core ML, use the GGUF on its own. The Core ML package requires Apple Silicon.

Provenance

The model originates from Qwen3-ASR 0.6B, licensed Apache 2.0. The encoder was converted from Handy's Qwen3-ASR-0.6B-Q8_0.gguf with transcribe.cpp's scripts/convert-qwen3-asr-gguf-to-coreml.py, then zipped with ditto -c -k --keepParent.

Runtime requirements

Extract the ZIP next to the GGUF, keeping the Qwen3-ASR-0.6B-Q8_0-encoder.mlmodelc directory name. Glimpse-Speech looks for the companion beside the GGUF and falls back to the GGUF's own encoder when it isn't there.

The encoder holds up to 15 seconds of audio. Glimpse splits longer recordings into chunks.

Qwen3-ASR is an experimental model in Glimpse. Core ML may run some operations on the CPU; this is not a guarantee of exclusive Neural Engine execution.

speaker-diarization-3.1

Pyannote

Using this open-source model in production? Consider switching to pyannoteAI for better and faster options. This pipeline is the same as pyannote/speaker-diarization-3.0 except it removes the problematic use of onnxruntime. Both speaker segmentation and embedding now run in pure PyTorch. This should ease deployment and possibly speed up inference. It requires pyannote.audio version 3.1 or higher. It ingests mono audio sampled at 16kHz and outputs speaker diarization as an Annotation instance: - stereo or multi-channel audio files are automatically downmixed to mono by averaging the channels. - audio files sampled at a different rate are resampled to 16kHz automatically upon loading. 1.…

The main improvements brought by Community-1 are: - improved speaker assignment and counting - simpler reconciliation with transcription timestamps with exclusive speaker diarization - easy offline use (i.e. without internet connection) - (optionally) hosted on pyannoteAI cloud 1. pip install pyannote.audio 3. The original model was converted with the following command: Note that the model weights are saved in FP16. This type can be changed when the model is loaded using the computetype option in CTranslate2. For more information about the original model, see its model card.
