Visual Jev sampled LoRA (40,000 train records)

This PEFT adapter was trained on a 40,000-row stratified subset, not the entire training split, of Visual Jev decisions v1 at revision 687c745c34846d104ee85af802b9fd444a854f5d. It answers a task-specific question about an image with a normalized box, choice, or short text.

Photo-based held-out cases

The GitHub composite shows selected held-out predictions with annotated photos. Its companion JSON retains full predictions.

How the dataset was created

Published train and evaluation questions largely use five fixed templates. COCO instance annotations supply grounding, box choice, and left/right questions; Visual Genome v1.2 supplies selected color and relation labels. Objects, boxes, and targets vary by photo, and a photo yields only supported questions. The separate 6,823 Luna-generated candidate rows were excluded pending human review. This training result does not establish generalization to unfamiliar wording, counting, absence, or false premises. See the dataset creation guide.

One held-out COCO photo yields 61 published test rows across all five tasks. This GitHub-hosted composite shows one row per task with the actual photo; no photo bytes were uploaded to this model repository or the Hugging Face dataset.

Dataset and training

  • Selection: per-task reservoir sampling with seed 43801 from the original image-disjoint train, validation, and test splits. Each task contributes 8,000 training, 200 validation, and 200 test records.
  • Training: 40,000 unique rows in one epoch; 40,000 processed including distributed padding.
  • Evaluation: all 1,000 rows of the selected validation subset and all 1,000 rows of the selected test subset. No full-split benchmark is claimed.
  • Hardware: 2 × NVIDIA L4; elapsed 1.40 hours.
  • Model: Qwen3.5-0.8B-Base, rank-16 LoRA on q_proj and v_proj, AdamW learning rate 5e-05, gradient accumulation 16 per GPU. Images fit within 512 × 512 pixels.
  • The generated-label luna_candidates.jsonl shard was excluded because it awaits human audit. No photo bytes are hosted in the dataset or model repository.

Use with your own image

The Hub may not show an interactive widget for this adapter unless an Inference Provider serves it. Use the code below, not the Hub's generic PEFT popover: that popover loads AutoModelForCausalLM, which omits the vision tower. For a guided run, open the correct Colab notebook and set adapter_id to harshnandwana/visual-jev-budget20-qwen35-0.8b-lora in its model-loading cell. Colab uploads your chosen photo to your Google runtime. The example below runs locally: install torch, transformers>=5.6,<6, peft>=0.21.2, and pillow, then place your own photo at example.jpg.

import torch
from PIL import Image
from transformers import AutoProcessor, Qwen3_5ForConditionalGeneration
from peft import PeftModel

base_id = "Qwen/Qwen3.5-0.8B-Base"
adapter_id = "harshnandwana/visual-jev-budget20-qwen35-0.8b-lora"
device = "cuda" if torch.cuda.is_available() else "cpu"
dtype = torch.bfloat16 if device == "cuda" else torch.float32
processor = AutoProcessor.from_pretrained(base_id)
base = Qwen3_5ForConditionalGeneration.from_pretrained(base_id, dtype=dtype).to(device)
model = PeftModel.from_pretrained(base, adapter_id).eval()

with Image.open("example.jpg") as source:
    photo = source.convert("RGB")
    photo.thumbnail((512, 512))

messages = [{"role": "user", "content": [
    {"type": "image", "image": photo},
    {"type": "text", "text": "Is the person to the left of the backpack?\n"
     "Choices: YES, NO, UNKNOWN. Answer with one choice only."},
]}]
inputs = processor.apply_chat_template(
    messages, chat_template=processor.tokenizer.chat_template,
    tokenize=True, add_generation_prompt=True,
    return_dict=True, return_tensors="pt",
).to(device)
with torch.inference_mode():
    tokens = model.generate(**inputs, max_new_tokens=32, do_sample=False)
answer = processor.batch_decode(
    tokens[:, inputs["input_ids"].shape[1]:], skip_special_tokens=True,
)[0].strip()
print(answer)

For box choice, include candidate labels and normalized coordinates in the text prompt. For grounding, request a normalized [x1, y1, x2, y2] box. The command-line inference script supports all five tasks and keeps your photo local. The exact prompt formats are in full_worker.py. The model expects the image and task-specific question together; it is not a general chat assistant.

The adapter is a research demonstration. Visual Genome attributes and relations can be noisy; COCO geometric questions assume annotated objects are visible. Results do not establish OCR, exhaustive counting, calibrated UNKNOWN, or out-of-distribution performance.

Non-uniform GGUF quantizations of a 512-expert MoE, produced with GSQ and RCO, with a vision projector for multimodal use. This repository provides GGUF quantizations of Qwen3.8-Flash-Next at four sizes, together with the model's vision projector (mmproj) for multimodal use. In contrast to uniform quantization, which applies a single quantization type to all weight tensors, each model here assigns a separate quantization type to every tensor. The assignment is obtained by a gradient-based search that allocates precision according to per-tensor sensitivity, subject to a total size budget. The resulting files are standard GGUF and run unmodified in llama.cpp, Ollama, and LM Studio. A…

Qwen3.8-27B-iMatrix-NVFP4-MTP-GGUF

Michał Piszczek

I built this quant because the ready-made FP4 file answered the wrong question. It was fast, but on my short WikiText-2 control it scored 6.4949 PPL. Plain Q40 scored 6.3798. The first higher-quality hybrid went too far the other way: good perplexity, 34.19 tok/s, and no comfortable room for 256K plus vision. This is the build that survived both gates. It is a 17.1 GB, 5.01 BPW mixed-precision GGUF of Qwen/Qwen3.8-27B. It keeps large, tolerant matrices in native NVFP4 and spends more bits on selected attention, Gated DeltaNet, and late FFN tensors. The trained MTP layer remains embedded in the same GGUF. This is not a fine-tune. I built the private calibration workload from 5,472 messages…

Huihui-Qwen3.8-27B-abliterated-GGUF

Huihui.ai

This is an uncensored version of Qwen/Qwen3.8-27B created with abliteration (see remove-refusals-with-transformers to know more about it). This is a crude, proof-of-concept implementation to remove refusals from an LLM model without using TransformerLens. The newly added Huihui-Qwen3.8-27B-abliterated-Underdog-Saluki series come from ConwayResearch/Underdog-Saluki-27B-1.0 and ukisai/Swift-1.5-Qwen3.8-27B-GSQ-RCO-GGUF. Only layers 22 to 52 (0-based indexing) have been ablated, while the other layers remain unablated. It may come with a small disclaimer warning. Due to ConwayResearch/Underdog-Saluki-27B-1.0 not providing an imatrix file, we will attempt to perform ablation by mixing the GGUF…

Qwen3.8-27B uncensored by HauhauCS 0/465 Refusals. This is the Aggressive variant: direct answers, no refusal behavior, and minimal preamble on hard prompts. Every text GGUF preserves Qwen3.8's native NextN head, and this release adds HauhauCS FastMTP: a specific acceleration sidecar qualified across the complete quant lineup at maximum native context. Vision is included through the separate BF16 projector. No changes to datasets or intended capabilities. This release preserves Qwen3.8-27B's text, reasoning, agentic, image, and video capabilities while applying the HauhauCS Aggressive uncensoring profile. Pick Aggressive when you specifically want the model to get to the answer without…

Tiel-Coder-35B-A3B-GGUF-MTP

Saga

Tiel is the fast coder of the arsenal. At 4-bit quantization and 23 GB it fixes real codebase issues at the rate (and speed, with the right GPU) of Opus 4.6 medium, while holding the best multi-turn conversation of any local model we have measured. It is also cheerfully bad at trivia. Pick it for work. Pick something else for exams. Where it sits against the other local builds Multi-turn conversation Reasoning and knowledge Where it stands. On 25 SWE-bench-Live problems Tiel fixes 12 — the same as Opus 4.6 (medium), four more than Ornith-1.5 itself, three more than Nail, and four more than Sonnet 5 (medium). Among models of its own class it is first; the ones ahead are dense 27Bs and Opus…
