Separate resource inventory from usable capacity
A hardware listing does not establish that a research workload can run there now. SAVRN Cloud’s planned capacity layer distinguishes resource identity, workload qualification and a current availability observation. The public preview contains synthetic provider and owned-resource records. Connected inventory and verified capacity are Coming soon.
Ask three different questions
Inventory describes a resource. Qualification records whether a particular model and runtime combination has been tested on it. Availability indicates whether the eligible resource can accept work at a particular time. These facts change at different rates. Copying a catalog entry into an available label would hide the checks that an operator still needs to perform.
Inspect the demonstration adapters
The preview lets you inspect sample execution adapters and export their local inventory. An owned-resource fixture includes a simulated qualification step before configuration is enabled. This shows how a gate could appear in the workflow. It does not discover a machine, establish GPU health, measure throughput or verify any supplier’s current stock.
Make freshness part of the observation
Future availability records need a source, an observation time and an expiry rule. Quota, maintenance, competing allocations and regional constraints can make an otherwise suitable resource unavailable. Stale evidence should become unknown rather than continue advertising capacity. Operators also need to know whether a value represents a supplier report, a successful probe or a reserved allocation.
Qualify owned placement on its own terms
Moving a workload to owned infrastructure requires more than adding an inventory row. The intended process needs artifact access, runtime validation, data policy review, operational ownership and a recovery path. Repeating relevant evaluations at the destination can establish whether behavior remains acceptable. The rented-to-owned path is planned, with workload-specific evidence required at each transition.

Before connected service access
Connected capacity requires provider reconciliation, workload qualification, health observations and explicit freshness and expiry rules.
What this makes possible
The intended outcome is a placement decision based on current, qualified resource evidence rather than an assumption drawn from a hardware catalog.
