GIP's data center franchise predates the BlackRock acquisition: with KKR it completed the roughly $15 billion CyrusOne take-private in March 2022 when it managed over $81 billion. Post-acquisition GIP AUM exceeds $200 billion, and GIP led the $40 billion Aligned acquisition (about $21 billion of equity) alongside AIP and MGX. It remains CyrusOne's co-owner, including in the $1.05 billion CMBS financing on a Dallas-area asset.
