Pixel ML builds video intelligence for Southeast Asian media. These are the speech models we run for Southeast Asian media: captions, search, clips. Open weights, open data, runs on your GPU — or on a CPU. Google's EmbeddingGemma 2 audio encoder with a CTC head, trained by Pixel ML on openly licensed Indonesian speech (YODAS, FLEURS, Common Voice). An optional n-gram language model (folder lm/, 0.27 GB) built from Indonesian Wikipedia comes with the weights. Speed (one H100 80GB, side by side with Whisper on the same GPU type and container size; seaasr v0.2.1): greedy decoding is about 18x faster than batched Whisper large-v3 and 9x faster than large-v3-turbo on a 79-minute recording…

by Bahriddin mrmuminov/quran-fastconformer-ctc-ar
quran-fastconformer-ctc-ar is an open-weight model for speech recognition from Bahriddin, released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. It has 109M parameters. At 16-bit it needs about 0.3 GB of GPU memory, which fits on 1x MI300X from $1.85 an hour, at the lowest prices in the SAVRN Index.
Runs On
What it takes to serve quran-fastconformer-ctc-ar (109M parameters): the memory its weights need at each precision, and the cheapest way to rent enough data-center GPUs to hold them.
| Precision | Weights | Memory needed | Cheapest setup | Per hour | Also fits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 16-bit | 0.2 GB | 0.3 GB | 1x MI300X (192 GB) Vultr |
$1.85 | 1x H100 $1.99 · 1x MI325X $2.00 |
